The Office for Mentoring and Student Development works with the Alumni Office to coordinate the Graduation Ceremony. Contact information is listed below if you have specific questions.

In February students must complete the "degree candidate form" on ANGEL which tells us exactly how you want your name on your diploma and gives us the correct information to be placed in the Commencement Program.

The Alumni Office will mail information regarding cap and gown orders and invitations to your current mailing address in February. Please refer to their website for specific information: http://alumni.iupui.edu/commencement/2010/info.html
Their Hotline number is 317.278.1700 or 1.866.267.3104 or
E-mail: commence@iupu.edu.
The link for ordering caps and gowns is here:http://www.herffjones.com/college/iu/ and should be available mid-February.

Graduates and their guests are also invited to participate in the Indiana University Commencement on Sunday, May 10 at 10:00 am in the Indiana Convention Center Halls, A, B, C. All doctoral degree candidates in attendance at the IU ceremony on Sunday will have their names read, walk across the stage, and shake the hand of Dean Brater, Chancellor Bantz, and President McRobbie, and then be hooded. If you plan on attending the IU Commencement please be sure to indicate this by checking the box on your cap and gown order.

Students who earned an AOA or GHHS cord will need to pick them up here in MS 162. Instructions on how they are to be worn at graduation will be provided.

The Sagamore room holds approximately 3,000 people. Tickets are not required. If you have guests with special needs, please let us know.

ATTIRE: Caps and gowns must be worn by all graduates, the hoods are to be carried over the left arm during the procession. Graduates must deposit their gown and hood in boxes, located at all exits, before leaving the Indiana Convention Center on Saturday, so please dress accordingly. The cap and tassel are yours to keep.

We ask that all students be at the Convention Center, outside the Sagamore room (map here), get a copy of the program and line up in alphabetical order by degree (MPH, MS, MSCL, MSMS, MD, PhD-only) for the processional. The list of graduates in alphabetical order will be sent to you and available here.
