CRITICAL CARE |
Course Director: |
Description: This elective will consist of working in the operating room with an anesthesiologist on a one to one basis. The student will learn the pertinent use of drugs, anesthesia agents and intubation techniques in the context of surgical patient care. During the time spent, the student should expect to gather a greater understanding of private practice anesthesiology. Opportunities are available for the student to observe/participate in obstetric, pediatric, and ambulatory anesthesiology. This is a good course for all students as anesthesiology is truly a practice of medicine within a surgically relevant environment. [ TOP ] |
